Overwinded update

Sun Jul 19, 2009, 3:08 AM
Right Right, Attention All, I am preparing to waste atleast 2 minutes of your time with this update-ta-tive journal

*and don't ask for the time back*

'yea, i'm still busy. Hence the lack of uploads. I struggle to do new graphic things at home when I do it at work. But I still want to do it - so i'm happy with my carear choice.'

Well this is pretty true, but things have changed. I lost my job at the paper - yea, theres no need to go into details. So i've spent a little while not getting into uni, doing little graphicy pieces and shooting gigs for papers/pr's/webzines. I've got a few festivals and bits a music lover like me likes, so that sides good.

'Ok, if you wanna watch new stuff go up, I'm uploading a new photo at least every day as well as all my gig photography and other random bits onto:

Yup, that bit is still true. There's Fightstar, Neil Young, IOW Festival 09, Arcade Eden, Levellers, ASH, and a good few more there. So enjoy :)

I don't know what else to say to be honest. I am shooting Apnia @ Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth tonight - so say hi if you see me.

So, drop me a line, say hi, send me a cat :)

Wow Busy Week...

Sun Feb 8, 2009, 5:07 AM
That was a bloody busy week! Not only did we manage to get the paper out, but I managed to get to four gigs in the last week (5 if you count the trip to pompey that was cancelled.)

First up was the transitions CD launch - well, that was a disappointment. Bad planning, bad planning.

I wish someone told us that The Gaslight Anthem in pompey had been cancelled - wasted trip!

Went to the Camden Barfly to photograph two local bands, Operators and Goodbye Stereo. Turned out to be very good trip - i uploaded some of the pics earlier.

Next was an evening with glen matlock (of the sex pistols). It was entertaining. Yes, thats the best way to put it. He handled it well when I asked what he thaught the past would have held for him if the pistols hadnt been so manufactured towards the end.

Saw the Gaslight Anthem yesterday , supported by Frank Turner. It was a right laugh. The crowd was a bit dead, but we got to meet the band as they were loading up the bus and they seemed like genually nice, down to earth guys.

Now, one thing that has been annoying me recently: peoples reactions to the news. It's getting unbearable to me now. I hate the fact that, so many are willing to sit there and moan, cry, gasp and other similar reactions...to things that don't effect them. If it effects you so badly, go help. Go make a change. But no, it's easier to appear concerned and have a cup of tea.

update

Sun Jan 4, 2009, 8:27 AM
Hey guys,

firstly, im sorry that i havent been active lately (well, sorry to the 6 odd people who think im half decent enough to watch. The biggest change has to be that I finaloly got a full time job.

I'm now working as the graphic designer for a local paper, as well as music writer, photographer and reporter. I know, I should also upload more, but im still trying to find the time to back up alot of my adverts and work.

At the moment, I must say, I think the gig photography is giving me the biggest rush. In the pit, with difficult lighting, only three songs and Cristina Scabbard screaming in your face really does give you an adrenaline rush. Coming up is page 44, the levellers, newton faulkner and the gaslight anthem, as well as hopefully (still trying to get passes) soulfly, kerrang tour 09 and eagles of death metal.

I saw Coheed and cambria perform their third album at london astoria in london as part of the neverender tour. WOW! Crowd surfing is the most amazing experiance.

College ain't working out all that well. I'm not going to take the easy route and blame the tutors as I have a lot of respect for them....but it's just not working for me.

Judders, signing out.
